When Erkka ran all the VIN numbers registered in the US via Carfax, something like 45 Euro 86 models showed up, so over here they are about the rarest 928. Like the US 86.5 all of the Euro 86 have the suspension features of the S4, so there are 85 vs 86 differences those of us in the US will have no experience with.

Relay chart from 928gt.com shows:

XV Kick-Down Relay(Auto) thru 86 VIN#0998 928.618.109.00

XV Kick-Down Relay(Auto) 86 VIN# 09999 and higher 928.618.109.01

The workshop manual wiring diagram for 86 shows a 5 pin device with connections to pins 15, 30, 31, 31b, and 87a.

Does the relay you have show part number 928.618.109.01?
