82 928 loss of RPM's

Hello Anyone
I have a 82 928 5 speed
It has 98K miles and has run great for about 6 years.
For some unknow reason I lost about a 1000 rpm's
I have checked timing
Plugs - injectors cleaned.
fuel filter, air filter
cleaned about every thing I can think of
Still low power loss of rpm's
I changed fuel to 92 oc.
Anyone else ever have this happen?
Thanks

Are you saying that your car will only rev up to 5000 RPM? Please explain.

Garage
check your electrical connections lately? (all of them, front to back, side to side)

do you really trust your tach?

is this a Euro (CIS injection) or US (Ljet injection)?

Cap and rotor are how old ? Plug gap is correct ? Clogged screen it the gas tank ? Split intake hose ? Faulty or disconnected WOT switch ? Dead or disconnected O2 sensor.
