A mint red 1987 928 S4 was stsolen in PS. It has polished dish wheels, side moldings, and chrome muffler bypass. Apparentlyl no plates, but temp tag in the rear window, and PA inspection sticker.
VIN WP0JB0926HS860326 If you see it, call your nearest Police department, and the owner Steve at 856-873-2915 Thanks!

Steve:
Sorry to hear about your loss. Unusual for thieves to target a 928. My 911 S was targeted back in the 70s so I repaired the damage they did and bought a Lambo Miura and never worried that it would be targeted. Is there a market where that car would bring some serious bucks? Your loss was somewhat near a port. Good luck on finding it in good condition soon. Diverdan |

Having a car stolen is an awful experience, so I wish all concerned the best of luck in recovery.
***** nothing but gossip below this line. There have been a few stories of the irate EX that decides to get rid of the 4 wheel mistress in the garage. I'm curious about how the car was stolen, unless it had the keys in it etc. Frequent reason for stealing a car these days is just transportation, somebody wanted to go from point A to point B. |

A Porsche salesman I know at Brumos(he had a 928 until a couple years ago), once told me that many times when a car like a 928 is taken, it is on its way out of the country within 24 hours. Once it's on a boat to somewhere else, little can be done at that point.

That would be something like a stolen to order kind of thing?
I would have thought that 100% of the cars going out a port would have VIN checked. OTOH if it was in a container, not a RORO boat, it could be sealed end to end and declared almost anything. |

A gentleman was restoring this car with his son. It was not registered, and probably not insured.
Last seen in Penn., I think we are all hoping it will be recovered. |

Well i'm in Philly, so if i see it around here i'll definitely let you guys know.
928 is NOT an easy car to steal, even most 'professionals' would be without clue. Any idiot could tow one away though. |

Benefit of the doubt ....
Reason for post, car recently sighted in the location reported (PA?). Sounds to me like the "system" isn't really designed to recover stolen vehicles. I wish them luck, but next time just the facts and less drama would be good. |

All the details that have been made public are in the rennlist thread.
http://forums.rennlist.com/rennforums/showthread.php?t=424254 I don't think there is anything left to look for. |
