Having trouble with Instrument Cluster

Does anyone know the best place for an Instrument Cluster for an 84 928S Euro. I am having the hardest time trying to find one that will fit the Euro connections. I have a 1981 PORSCHE 928 GUAGE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER AUTOMATIC, but of course, the connections are a little off. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks:mad::confused:

Adam--

call Roger per our discussion, see if he has the correct cluster for your car....

Whats different about the connections? or is it just a 81 vs newer situation?

I know the dual coil cars use a different tach than the single coil cars do.

there are several instrument clusters, depending upon year model, US/Euro, manual/slushbox, O2 sensor, etc.....

one telling thing is the number of contacts per ribbon connection---some have 12 pin, some are 14 pin......

while I don't have the correct part number for Adam's car, surely Roger or Alan does....or at least they can offer guidance---

Yipes, I just looked at PET, way too many choices, but not 100% clear what might be "compatible".

OTOH I have a cluster out of a 84 Euro AT, but I'm not sure what its future is yet.

any 82-84 cluster should theoretically work.. 81 and earlier use 12 pin, 82-84 have 14 pin to account for the fuel consumption potentiometer, 85-up probably won't work
do you need the foil or a whole cluster? what exactly is the problem that you need to change the cluster?

US and Euro differences too, 84 Euro is dual coil (84/86), what changed in 85 (US changed to dual coil)?

I am actually needing the whole cluster. When I got this car back in Feb/March, it had nothing in the POD, just the POD itself. I would love to get my hands on DANGLERB's euro 84 AT, that is what I have and NEEEEEEDDDDD.

Thanks
