Need a 86.5 flywheel for 5spd wtt
1986.5 928 auto swapping in an 81 5spd box, tt, and dual clutch. And oh yea the master cyl firewall. Anyone have a 5spd flywheel for a 86.5 with 100 teeth for ignition ring?

hey javaschlava - i looked and i'm a little confused - on the double disk cars the starter teeth are on the intermediate plate - the actual flywheel that's attached to the crankshaft doesn't have teeth - so i have an intermediate plate that says 1986 on it (don't know if early or late) - but it has 162 teeth on it - i don't see a porsche part number on it but the sachs number is ...3059008233 - of course i don't know what the changes were between early and late so they could have changed the whole setup

Made one.
Thanks for looking. I was able to remove the ignition ring from the 86.5 flex plate and index it onto the 81 5spd dual flywheel. With the help from Machine shop Bill Carlquist. Shim it just enough to make it snug and then tack weld it up. Wa la it starts and runs.
Finished it off by welding it in more equidistant places so she will stay on there. Thanks to a previous post for the idea. ![]() |
