Is it ok to paint a black car a part at a time?
I'm not saying I prefer it this way, or want to do it this way, but I can picture it working out that I end up tearing the doors completely apart at a point in time where its inconvenient to paint the whole car. How much trouble would I potentially be getting into to have the doors painted then and the rest of the car later?

Black is not just black, But you still can paint it in parts just have all the paint for it all in one gallon can so that it is all one color.

if you are using the same supplier/same paint code for the whole car, you could just paint a panel at a time.....
the results may not be great, however, when you factor in paint fade, atmospheric chemical fallout, etc.... maybe after you get all the panels done, you might go back over it with a very fine grade paper and buff-out to bring out the color...... --Russ |
