I had a good experience using Injection Labs. I recommend them.

JDS Porsche...he sells through Louie Ott. He invented the recalibrated MAF for the 928 and knows the most.

Mr. Speake at JDS charges a bit more than Injection Labs. I've heard reports that his recalibrated MAFs are experiencing issues with over-rich conditions at WOT. Maybe he's corrected it by now. No personal experience with JDS...just rumors. If you go that route, it's worth asking about. He is quite experienced.

Dave,

If you have had no direct experience with JDS products then why make a negative comment based on hearsay? In a small community like this that kind of word travels fast and is harmful to a persons reputation. Trust me, I know all about this because a group out of Wisconsin tried to make sure of it with me. I've personally been to John's place twice and I've seen his shop and the way he does things. You could eat off the floor in John's lab.

My expereinces with John and his products have been nothing but positive. His MAF controls the fuel in my big power car and it works as designed. Additionally, I highly doubt you will see the level of innovation from any of the other shops that you get out of JDS. The Sharktuner is the prime example of this. It's innovation at its best!

Thanks,
JK

Until a lot more of a track record exists Injection Labs is going to be the new kid in town, and John at JDS the known reliable source.

John:

No doubt Mr. Speake's innovative products are a valuable asset for our community (that statement is also hearsay since I've not personally used his products). The information I heard about his MAF rebuilds was from a source with personal knowledge, and one I trust. I'm glad it sounds from your experience that any problems he may have had in the past have been corrected.

Sorry if posting about things I hear from other owners bothers you. It was, IMO, coupled with an appropriate explanation that any interested people should inquire about it themselves. I don't see a problem with that. You've expressed your opinion to balance mine...which is a healthy discourse in a forum like this.

The MAFs that Dave is talking about were off my 928 that I had in Green Bay getting Supercharged. They did fine at idle and part throttle but would tend to wig out at WOT. Regardless, John Speake made it right and continues to provide excellent products and customer service. Sure Injection Labs may be cheaper, but Tampa had a similar problem with one of their MAF's so...

I support JDS because he is providing more than just a MAF, he keeps developing great things for our 928s and I value that more then anything.

I've sold many of John Speake's rebuilt MAFs (standard and SuperMAF) without any reported problems. I've also used them on 928s I've tuned without a problem with the MAFs. I will say that almost every 928 I've tuned had some other problem, but it wasn't the MAF.
