FS: '89 928 S4, 5 speed, 49K, one owner, original and concours!

UPDATE: This car has just been sold. Thank you!

I am currentely offering an absolutely outstanding condition, one owner, 1989 Guards Red over full black leather 928 S4 5 speed. The car has extremely low mileage of just 49,100 and is fully documented since day one. Completely original with the exception of an X-pipe exhaust, though I naturally have all of the original components. Absolutely all of the original equipment is included and accounted for including, but not limited to the following; cargo cover, cargo net, every single tool, collapsable spare tire, original Porsche tire compressor, changing mat, changing gloves, extra belts, jack, lug wrench, both front and rear belly pans, both the owners and maintenance manuals and all supplement manuals in their original binder, key card, two original keys, valet key, three wheel lock keys, original wheel locks with caps and even the ORIGINAL WINDOW STICKER!

The paint is 100% original and is free of any chips, dings or scratches. No leaks, no issues and no excuses whatsoever. All services are up to date and the timing belt and water pump service was performed at 37,000 miles. Everything works properly and is completely original. The wheels are still in original condition with no curb rash on any of them. The tires are nearly brand new Bridgestone RE-71's.

This car is an absolute gem! It needs nothing and drives like brand new! These cars are getting harder and harder to find, especially the really pristine, low mileage examples such as this. And the fact that this 928 is found in the most popular selling color of Guards Red and is a 5 speed too, only makes it that much more desireable!

The car is being photographed as is. No washing, no detailing, nothing! I am just pre-posting this car on Pelican and possibly PCA before going onto Ebay, Autotrader and cars.com after it's been fully and professionally detailed by our local BMW delaership. The detail I demand is $250 and takes three days to complete. This will be done regardless of whether you buy it now or later. Also, I will be adding two brand new lighted Porsche keyheads, a brand new black RMB and brand new factory Lloyds floormats in the sale. So please take all of that into consideration.

This concours example is priced to sell to the most demanding and scrutinizing perfectionist at just $24,900. This 928 is simply as good as they get, and I would definitely know!

Todd

Update!

I've gotta tell ya', a little leather conditioner certainly went along way with this 928's black interior. It's at least two shades darker black now than it was in the above, pre-washed, pre-conditioned pictures. In addition, and after further extremely close observation, I found the whole interior and exterior of this 928 to be in "as new" condition throughout. Even before I added the leather conditioner, I noticed that all of the leather in this 928 was unusually soft and supple, way beyond that of most of my previous and mostly lower mileage 928's. All of the seats are exceptionally soft and pliable, even before they were conditioned. Even the leather shift boot, which is usually the driest component of leather on these cars, is simply like new. Butter soft! Upon further observation, I found that the original "unleaded only" decal and the two "Porsche alarm system" decals were like new as well. 99% of the time I replace those items due to sun cracking and heat, but again, they were just like new! I then took a look at the always suspect rear quarter window material for signs of any warping. Again, not even a millimeters worth of movement on either one of them. This car is in simply unbelievable condition!

The previous owner lived in northern Michigan and said he never took it out in rain or snow nor ever left it to sit in excessive heat of anykind, and at this point, I would definitely believe everything he said. There are no cracks at all on the dash, not even between any of the defroster vents. The fact that this car lived it's entire life in the not so sun drenched state of northern Michigan, translates into one, it was never exposed to any of the eliments, and two, was also spared any corrosion of the rubber suspension components due to a lack of heat, rain, snow, salt or any other force of nature. That would explain why the car drives so quietly and like new in every way. It still is!

That's it! I just wanted to give a little update on the car now that I've had a good chance to get to know her a little more personally. She's simply perfect! I can say with absolute certainty that this 928 has just moved into the "Low Miler" top 3 of alltime list. And that list is nearing 60 total 928's to date, most of which had less than 40,000 miles on them. "As good as they get", would be an understatement for this 928!

Tell Gary not to worry at all, he was promised first right of refusal, Baron. I was just giving a general update as to the cars condition now that I've had a chance to spend some more quality time with her. If for any reason Gary does decide to pass (very doubtful! ), then others would simply find the updated information helpful is all. I'm still looking very forward to seeing you guys in a couple/few weeks, if I'm not mistaken......

Todd

P.S. Personally, I really think your both gonna be blown away by this car!

Sounds like a great car (as I've learned to expect from you) and I'm giving him as much info as I can about the breed. Hopefully it works out and we'll see you when he picks it up. From what I have seen in the market, there is none nicer out there at this time.

I was just on my way out the door for the day, so it'll have to wait until this evening. I hope that's alright, so I'll just have to assume it is. But you can call me if you have any questions today at 317-506-3022. Otherwise, I'm outta here and pics will be sent this evening!

later, Todd

Well, I finally just walked in the door and it's almost 10 PM already. It's totally dark out now, so just plan on me taking those updated interior pics tomorrow, okay. But more good news on this 928 though. One of the things on my 928 agenda list today was to have the black RMB installed. Holy freakin' schnikies! No cats, and X-pipe, two stainless steel mufflers and finally the RMB. This car was already GTS fast with the rear resenators the PO had installed instead of the RMB, but now, it's as fast as it sounds! Unbelievable V8 rumble, just like it should have sounded originally, and super increased performance. I still have all of the original exhaust, but who would ever want to put that back on again anyway? This car just gets better and better. Last stop, detail shop!

Todd......pics of interior tomorrow
