Getting rid of my 84

Hey all wanted to let you guys know its time to sell the 84. Here is my craigslist.com ad. I am now taking a best offer, it must sell. I have already purchased a replacement and it is time to move on. Here is the link with pics and info. I would rather take less for it and put in in a fellow 928's garage.

Good luck Brian. What did you replace it with?

Brian Felts 07-10-2008 06:13 PM

Its not sold yet but I think I have a fellow comig to look at it this weekend. I am looking for a Jag. I was also thinking of a Fiero GT and doing a swap with a GM 3.8 s/c motor.

then again the 928 is hard to let go.......if the idea or offer is not right. she will be my daily driver for another year or so. My shop has been so busy I can't give the 9 the time it deserves.

Hey to all my trade fell through..........I am not willing to take less for the 928. My little one can now reach the door handle and gear selector so I am open to offers. I was asking $5000 and I now feel it was a good bit high so...........I will make a deep discount for a fellow 928'r drop me an e-mail if you would like my phone ###

If its really "time to sell", decide what your bottom price is, add a buffer to that, and put it in some local media like Auto Trader.

I am planning on it, but I wanted to check here and let our people in case somebody here would like first choice. I would rather it go to one of us.

Brian

We are the group that makes the lowballers finally seem attractive.

Brian Felts 07-18-2008 10:10 AM

LOL true enough. But be careful, I need something larger so the top low baller may have to give me some money!!! You in?

Brian,

How does the automatic shift? Has it required sorting at all?

I am thinking I would like to get $3500 out of it, its too good of a daily driver with the a/c already converted over etc. to let it go for any less.

Brian Felts 07-26-2008 12:56 PM

If it wasn't for the high cost of transport, it would be very tempting. Wish I lived closer.

Brian Felts 07-26-2008 04:50 PM

What are the shipping cost these days. A year or so ago I had a Chevelle and a 89 TTA shipped in to paint etc. and I believe it was under $1000 from around Okla. or so. I can imagine with diesel how it has risen.

The big problem I have now with the little ones car seat she can now reach everything and I really want her in the back for added safety. I would just feel more comfortable. I have probable put 1200 miles on it since the ad was put up. I have traveled a little playing tennis in Kentucky etc.
