928GTS Differential control failure!

Hi there m8s my name is ALexander and I am from Greece.
My friend got a 928 GTS and as we were expecting no onehas in our city porsche service and nobody can touch this car since no one has even the diagnostic tool.

Last night after a good cruise a malfunction light came on saying.
Differential control failure but we did not notice any change not even when shifting gears or accelarating hard in the turns in order to slide...
anyone has any idea whats the problem? My friend said that everything started after he got his car washed !

Please help me out!

I recommend more testing by hard acceleration in corners.

You might also consider getting this diagnostic package from Theo, 299 Euros.

this will often happen when its low on brake fluid. If this is followed by an ABS warning I would check the brake sensors. They are magenetic and over the years they will attract enough metallic dust from the rotors to build up on the sensor and it will cause errors for the ABS and the PSD.

I ve checked the brake fluid level and it was ok.
That means that the brake pads are ok too.
To be sure I removed back wheels made a brake check (OK)
and cleaned with break cleaner spray the brake system and the sensors.
Everything seemed ok.

When I got out for a test drive the warning light DIFF. CONTROL OFF
didnt come on . BUT When i tried to turn a 160 degrees turn and accelerated
hard the light came on!
I told my friend to buy the diagnostic tool you recomended me for 299
its kinda good value for money since we got no solution over here.

thanks a lot

i ll stay tuned for updates , thank you guys

Sounds like there will be a 928 mechanic in Greece soon.
