Forte engine flush/injector cleaner
Does anyone have any experience with engine flush or injector cleaner by Forte?
I think I have a noisy tappet which won't go away. I've been using the car on and off for a year now, before that it was stood for a year, had a replacement engine in that time so don't know how long that wasn't running for either. It gets quite noisy when warm. It's got 15/40 oil in there at the minute, I will replace with 20/50 after I flush it. I'm thinking of using the Forte engine flush as I've heard good reports. But then again I've read of folk using diesel engine oil as a flush, as it has slow acting detergents which clean the oilways etc just as well as a flush, but is more gentle and through. Just wondering what experience anyone has of these things. Also, my local specialist said 3-4 injectors were running lean. It's also got a lumpy idle which I'm sure it shouldn't have. I'm thinking it's due to being stood, so I want to try the Forte injector cleaner. So again, any experience? Thanks Matt |
Euro S2 has rubber hoses down to each injector, VERY good chance it is more than time to replace those hoses and pull all the injectors, clean them, and replace the orings and filters.
Buy a 16 oz bottle of Marvel Mystery Oil, half in the gas and half in the oil. |
I spent $100 on a fancy-dancy injector treatment. Made no difference whatsoever, and I believe that I'm driving with 30 yr old injectors. New plugs and wires also did not cure my "rough running" problem. Replacing all the little vacuum hoses finally did.

Where can I get these injector hoses in the UK? and the other vacuum hoses I've read about?

You'll find Pelican useful too, but some local help is always good :) |
Roger at 928rus in TX may have a lower shipped price than you can find locally in the UK, and he speaks your lingo.
