PCV Valve?

Alright guys, I've been trying to figure out why my intake is getting oil in it, excessive amounts too. I don't know why i never realized this but why do our cars not have PCV valves? am i the only one without one?

I've tried google and searching all over for 928 PCV valves and cant find anything.

2 main reason why im concerned here
A: I'm burning oil in the combustion chamber and would really rather not...
B: One of Dwaynes writ-ups about intake refresh clearly shows him holding a small PCV valve, and he even notes that is is in fact a PCV valve in his write up.

This is his write up, go to it and hit ctrl + f and type "PCV valve" to go to the pictures showing him holding it in his hand.

WHY DOES THIS ONLY EXIST IN HIS WRITE-UP AND NO WHERE ELSE!

There is no pvc valve. There is an canister with a separator (where you fill the oil) that handles the crank case ventilation. There should be only relatively minimal amounts of oil burning, but if your other point of reference is a Honda or something like that it would seem like a lot. You may have some tired rings and are getting lots of blow by, that could be an issue.

Tell us what year your car is, and we can help you! If it is a 16v, then it doesn't have one!

Porsche may not really love us.

The short answer is that a LOT of oil gets pumped into the heads at higher rpm, and is not managed well on a stock 928 engine. Various tricks seem to work depending on the use of the motor, normal street a Provent and a change to the block drain seem to work well, racing may require some active pumping out of the oil and/or dry sumping.
