Mystery electrical connector in an '82

The picture below is of a connector in the engine compartment that has me stumped. It is a Bosch female 3 wire connector and there is no corresponding male connector to match up with it. It normally sits beside the PS res facing toward the driver (I moved it in the picture for clarity). With the ignition on there is 12 v to one of the terminals. It is factory as the cable does a u-turn underneath and heads into the main harness towards the driver. I haven't been able to figure it out from the workshop wiring diag. Anyone with any ideas? Anyone with an '82 that could look and see if they have the same connector and if it is connected to anything? A gentleman from the Reutterwerk site suggested that this has come up on RL previously but I could not find anything in the searches.
Thx for the help.

I'm surprised no one has said it is the connection for the flux capacitor yet. I'm just kind of surprised it exists if it serves no purpose but maybe it is for some weird optional accessory.

Could be the wire for item 10, part of the alarm circuit.

You might have a point - I do not have the optional alarm but it would make sense that there would be a connector in the harness for an alarm option. Does anyone out there have an '82 with factory alarm installed that could look and see if this connector is used? I think I may also carefully strip some of the black covering away to get a look at the wire color codes. Seems to me that the factory wiring diagrams have some reference as to where certain connectors and components are located - anyone aware if this is true or not and has anyone figured it out?

I had the same question. Does anyone have a EURO version with EURO lights? I wonder if this connects the level adjustment motor to the main wire harness?

Thrue for an '82 but even the electric ones aren't wired like this. This is a sensor/diagnisitic connection I think.
