WTB: an HVAC (climate control head unit) for '91 GT

I need the whole unit please. Going into a '91 GT. But it must be a pre-'92 unit without the recirculating arrows on it. And I need it asap! Feel free to give me a call at 317-506-3022 to discuss price. Thank you in advance for any responses.

Todd

Todd up to 1990 did not have the recirc symbol and all 91-95 do. Maybe your car had the wrong unit in it. We do have the early unit rebuilt in stock but the late we only have new but the good news is it's almost 1/2 off of dealer list.

That's interesting because the car I need this unit for, a '91 GT, is in the shop right now. However, I do have a '90 GT and a '94 GTS in my garage. I went out to look at both units and the only difference between the two is the symbol on the lower slide control, right below the 65 degrees mark. My '90 GT has a solid rectangular line. The GTS has a series of three arrows forming a circle (dictating "recirculate") in that same spot. Other than that, the two units are practically identical. I would have to assume then that '91 was the "changing" year. So, I called my mechanic and asked for him to describe which symbol I had. He said it was a solid rectangle. I then went onto 928 Registry and looked at other '91 928's to see if they had the old style. To my surprise, they all had the recirculating symbol. Therefore, should I conclude that my '91 has had the wrong unit from the get-go?

I can get a used, new style unit from someone for $99. And from what I understand, that's a pretty good price. But if for any reason this falls thru, what would one of your newer style units cost?

Thanks, Todd
