'83 front wheel bearings...

Am I stupid for trying to replace these myself??

I was looking through the factory manual and I don't have the "correct" tools as listed.

It doesn't appear to be too hard, but.... the pressing of the raceways could be an issue, and do I need to heat up the hub etc., as listed in the manual?

Anybody have any thoughts or words of wisdom?
Thanks,
Mat.

Good chance what the factory manual says will need to be done, but on other cars at least I know people will do all the grunt work themselves and take the parts into a shop for press work etc.

Are you sure they need to be replaced?

Didn't mess around. Took car to shop and had done...smartest $200 bucks i've spent. No grinding...that's fun!

Might look for tools and do the next one myself.

Mat.
