Someone needs to develop a set of full steel flares that can be welded into the factory panels. I'm just not fan of bonding glass to the original steel fenders...it spells problems over the long haul.

that is exactly why I went with massaged gts quarters.... I wanted all metal and there wasn't a solution....

As long as the cuts are properly treated in the metal fender, the bare metal not at all unprotected, the issues don't arise.

It's not unheard of, it's just cheap. And if you spend $3000 on a paint job and 5 years later have cracks from fiberglass..... Or the seam, or the mud, or any combination.... I would be PISSED. That is why I would lean away. HOWEVER, at this price, it IS very attractive and I haven't ruled it out... Just need lots of time to play it out in my brain. Making sure it's right for what I'm building at the moment. Ya Know?
