Sorry for what may be a dumb question, but is there a need or a way to "de-pressurize" the system prior to pulling the rail, hoses, injectors, etc.?

cap with a ball end fitting in the front passenger side of the fuel rail. dont drop the ball!

Pull the fuel pump relay while the car is running and let it run out of gas.

If it was.running, I possibly wouldn't have the need to pull the fuel injectors!
