I drove to town last night, (40 miles), car runs perfect.
On the way home, out of the blue... the engine looses all power. Alt working fine, Oil Press perfect, water temp perfect. I can start the car, hold gas pedal down to floor, takes at least 30 seconds to build up to 3000 rpm... feels like the Cat is plugged, but it isnt. Laser thermometer show 250* before and after the cat... Fuel pressure is holding right at 48lbs. Could this be an ECU problem? It happend all at once... Thanks! Shawn~ |

clogged fuel filter will still allow normal pressure at idle typically: which should be 30psi w/vaccum, 38psi w/o, not 48.
is the 13mm bolt that holds the timing adjustment on your distributor tight? If loose, put somewhere back in the middle for now. Mark
