Porsche Crest Buy a Cage or Make a Cage

Who has the cheapest cages for the 928?

Based on the intended use of a roll cage, I wouldn't be looking for the cheapest. I'd suggest building it in the chassis.

Never heard of a cage kit, they are all custom so far as I know.

Summit has kits that might make a good base to build something specific for a 928.

This one says its for a 928, but it also says bolt in and I think welded is the only way to go.

This thread has some nice picts of JohnV's cage.

long before you start any welding, be sure to research the type of tubing (wall size, tube diameter, and material) that is required for what use you are putting the car in.

NHRA, IHRA, PCA, and other sanctioning bodies are very specific as to what's required. certification of cages is also a requirement for some sanctioning bodies from year to year.

(and these requirements change somewhat often)

I know it... I just wanted to see if anyone had plans drawn up already so I could mortise up and go to work instead of measuring all day long and cutting, and measuring and cutting KNOW WHAT I MEAN.
