Just scored a set of "S" cams

Finally! This has been a long journey. Some of you may remember I had a left cam break. I didn't realize the cam was the cause. Two busted engines later, a bucket of money and way too much down time.
I just bought a set of "S" cams for my hybrid. She's now complete. I will be pulling the engine over the winter and taking out the lazy US cam set. Next summer should be a blast!

Ya, you guys can change the cams without pulling the engine, but for me it's like doing brain surgury through a Coke bottle neck.

Settling for just S cams?

I'm about ready to pull the trigger on some serious lift and duration.

Lopey idle, makes a silly grin.

Rich, or Mike,

I know of some 16V parts that will be coming available soon, big valve heads, port matched headers, billet custom cams 515 lift, 110 lobe sep, bored spider. Heads have been flow tested with cam to 280-290 CFM.

If I peaked your interested and you would like to know more then shoot me off a PM.

My main stumbling block is that I haven't decided on the bottom end. I really really don't want to spend stroker money, and I don't know if any cheap path to a 5.4L is going to work. I've got no timetable except getting old and feeble, but I'd like to make some progress and do some driving.

OTOH I have no trouble switching from go fast on the 85 Euro to fix all the little stuff on the US 83.

That fancy stuff does sound interesting, but I'm not sure somebody elses project will be tempting enough. PM sent.

Rich
I ended up going with Jon Milledge Engineering after much feedback from Jon personally vs the others out there. Jon has a wealth of knowledge available to anyone willing to get more information (No I am not getting a financial kickback from this recommendation hehe).

Personally I was looking at something close to a .515 lift but many modifications to everything and street wise was a bit hard so I went to the max street setup of .441 with stock valves & 944S Springs to allow me a 7200RPM jab without having to worry about any valve float. Jon stated anything above .441 requires valve replacement and the like. Hope this helps a bit
