84 928S auto transmission issue

Hey guys,
I've got a trouble with my auto transmission and Im wondering
i need another trans or it is fixable problem.

for a while ago my transmission started to act funny,
that is when the engine is cold the car shakes bit between 2nd and 3rd gear.
it was like the tranny couldnt decide which gear should it be.

so i checked out fluid level, and that was just fine, and i decided to
put some additive into the fluid.

and all sudden, the tranny gave up.
now the car doesnt run at all,,,(sometime it moves bit)
wheels still spins, but theres no power to move the car at all.
and soon, i can hear the fluid is boiling!

does anybody had samekind of problem before??
is this fixable problem? or i just get another used tranny???

helps appriciated, thanx guys

How did you measure the fluid level?

This may not apply to you at all, but usually the first thing to do is to flush out the old fluid, replace the filter and refill making sure the level is correct.

What additive did you put in it?

Yep---start here ^^^^

if a fluid flush/filter change/refill to spec doesn't cure it......it ain't good (assuming the only thing you did was add additive).
