Thumbs up Twin turbo dyno nexted week

I am going to put the twin turbo back on the dyno it is set for nexted week I am thinking 480 to 490 at the wheel with more boost . I was at 445 rwhp at 8 psi so i think 12 to 13 psi this time mit get me there or more maybe. Time will tell. Ill post dyno sheet nexted week.

I have my old race car coming back nexted year, We are pulling the motor out and putting in thefull race motor in and we are taking it up to the track so that i can run it and get it all tuned in the right way for nexted season.

If you're at 445RWHP @ 8psi, going with 50% more boost at 12psi will net you a good bit more than 490RWHP...
Make sure you post up a video, can't wait. I wish I could go twin turbo..

This are the old callaway turbos wich are the IHIs that do not flow like the gt twin BB.

Agreed but psi is relative to flow. ie.. it takes a certain amount of flow (mass) to create the measured manifold pressure. Doesn't matter which two turbos you pick, but if both are generating 12psi on the SAME engine, they are both flowing the SAME at that point.

Twin K27's might spool a tad slower than the GR BB turbo's but will still hit the same peak HP rates, given the same manifold PSI. The torque curve will not be as flat as your tubo's will build manuifold pressure at a slower rate due to spool time, however once at 12psi they will generate the same power as any other turbo at 12psi.

The big difference is twin GT BB turbos could generate 30psi and get htere at a lower rpm, where your turbos might peak out at 15 or 20psi.

Mine were never matched up when callaway did these cars so in the map on this turbos they will bo off the map at 12 psi . But we will see . This car is getting the GT twin BB on it .

It will be sick with twin GT BBs..

Even upgrading to a pair of K27's can be done cheaply. About $500 a pair on ebay.

Well it is sick now with the callaway stuff. When we put the twin GT BB on it we will get 500 rwhp with it with little boost . It will be very sick then.

Pair of K27 for sale in the 944 classifieds here.

12 psi in the manifold isn't always 12 psi in the cylinder. At some flow level the choke points start to drop serious psi.

Dyno numbers should be great with this cold weather.

Is this boosted car the one going on the track?

No it is not going on the track. This is the old callaway twin turbo 16V 4.7l euro motor

I had to cancel the dyno run this tuesday made it for next tuesday. I had to go to fort meyers florida for work.
