82 US that cargo shade thing fix?

anyone have one of those cargo shade things absolutely brand new looking and is locked up 3/4 way pulled wont roll or unroll seems the plastic ends are plastic and riveted not an allen wrench to take shade out of its ends

lubed the rollers at each end but wont give losened up enough finally to pull out more but wont pull down catch and spring back to roll up.

middle of the metal rod that shade wraps around may be bent and as the shade is filling its rubbing and stopping as its to full and hits cause it unrolls.
