1991 928 S4 wheel size options

I have a 1991 928 S4 with the factory 16" wheels. I am looking to upgrade to a set of 17" or even 18" wheels and tires but find conflicting information on what sizes and offsets will fit. Can anyone tell me what the best tire size and offset would be for both 17" and 18" wheels without rubbing issues. I do not want to have to roll the fenders. Thanks. Chris

what is best?

that is subject to your likes and dislikes.

a good source for fitment is:

Wheel Dynamics website (you can catch their ads on eBay as well).

or Andrew Olson's fitment listing on Rennlist.

This site has Porsche wheels at a good price, go for the GTS wheels and you know they will fit.

$190 for a factory slotted dish wheel, most of the wheels appear to not be Porsche, but Italian replicas. Other than a couple big dollar brands its best to stick with a OEM Porsche wheel.

I have 17" Cup 2 wheels on my '88 S4 and they fit and look great.
Have a look at this link to find what wheels can fit the 928.
