Ford Injectors in Euro LH

Has anyone done this yet? Comparing the 4 hole injector tip to the single hole I'm just wondering about the spray pattern. But then again the pintle cap is the same diam so 4 hole spray angle can't be that much wider.

Why are you going to 42 pound ones you will have to much fuel at idle will not run right at idle. You need just 26 pound ones.

Engine is a hybrid 5.0L with 8 psi boost. 450 to 500 hp. 42# is correct size.

26# injectors with 43 psi fuel pressure? No FMU?
Do you have an wide band A/F gauge on-board?

I don't think there's any reason to worry about the spray pattern or need to change the pintle cover. The Ford 42s have a fairly narrow sparay pattern but even if they didn't it's not a problem to have some fuel pooling on the walls.

Euro LH has a barbed fuel injector connection, how are you managing the new style fitting?

I think the 4 hole newer injectors do a better job, most people seem to prefer them.

Injector size change and/or boost, some kind of remapping of the fuel needs to be done, and generally that should accommodate a wide range of pressure and injector options.

I'm converting to Megasquirt so no problem with ECM control.
Yes doing away with the hose calmp nipple LH injectors. The Ford fit into the S4 rails. Cleaner look.

How are you attaching the injectors and rails to your intake?

Pictures of the details please.

Lots of discussion on the various injector types in the Mustang forums, generally newer is better.

S4 fuel rails use the square clips to secure top of fuel injector to rail

The Bosch (Ford) injectors are held in place by mounting ring that bolts to runner, under that is the large o ring and snap ring. I'll get some pics in a few days. Just woundering if the 4 hole injector tip should be used.
