Hatch lock problems - please help
 

I have a 928S 1983 model. The rear hatch lock is faulty and the key wont open the rear hatch. How can I open it from the inside in order to change the lock.

I have a '78 928 that the hatch would not open. The problem with mine was the hatch closed to tight. I pushed down on the hatch then turned the key & the lock released. I think it's better too tight than too loose, so I'm leaving it alone. Hope this helps.

my 78 euro hatchback lock same thing you think that key just isnt going to open it but it does pushing down on it tight or possibly alignment

, there are allen wrench screws up in the mechanism too too lose too tight maybe aligning better.

Does it have electric release (even if not functional)?
