Such a beautiful and special car... I was surprised when I saw it come up for sale but appreciate what Chuck stated about wanting drivers. I certainly would never drive it... What is so remarkable about this car is how the outlandish color/interior combination (on any other vehicle) remain looking fresh, totally appropriate and contemporary to this day. I hope it goes to a collector/museum that regularly shows it, I want to see it in person some day.

Makes me wonder how many seriously low mileage 928's may be lurking in private collections around the world. I've heard in Japan it wasn't unusual for someone to buy a car like a Porsche and put it inside their house and never drive it.

Hey Ho!

It is "Kermit".
A beautiful example! I think the tires are original!
Perfect Prasha interior. The thing belongs in a museum.
Always good to see Kermit. If Monk (TV show) owned a car...that would be it.

Perfect car for Monk not to drive.

Heaven forbid

Oh no! not to drive! I imagine an episode where somebody finds out he owns the car and it has been sitting, perfectly preserved, in storage somewhere. Perhaps he secretly goes there and polishes it once a month or something. Kermit has something like 1600 ORIGINAL miles! I've got it. He could visit it once every 4 years to do the timing belt (they age ya know) He could take it to a concourse where he would find people he could relate to! They could all talk specs and detailing. Monk could find people who get it. Hec, he could be a concourse judge! Can you imagine the drama in the climatic scene where the only car that could chase and catch the bad guy was Kermit!!??

EDITORS NOTE: A stunt double would be used for all driving scenes. No Frogs would be hurt or abused in the making of this movie.

Hec: I could write that script in my sleep. The 928 community provides enough material for a feature length movie. "The Kermit Chronicles". Somebody should pitch this one in Hollywood.
