I saw one guy who installed some late '90's dual square headlamps (from a Chevy Tahoe) where the fog and parking lights usually are, he was from the U.K. I think; it looked quite nice, but you'd have to put dual filiment lamps into the turn signals so you would have running lights (I'm working on that one now, just got a turn signal housing off of ebay this week). Here in the U.S., it will depend on whether your state has a limit on how low you can install headlights. Besides that, Porken put some projector lights in his by making custom mounts where the usual headlights go, and of course Strosek I think makes a whole front clip with custom headlights.

I think the idea is to start with something like these, and put them behind factory lenses somehow.

The owner of the car with the '99 Yukon lights in the bumper is Bill Shaw on rennlist, but I don't remember his screen name there. I saved pics of his car for this very reason, not being able to find the thread about his car again. These are of course in order, Jacquemond and Strosek front ends, Bill Shaw's front end, and the one I mentioned in the last post.

All, I think, unique renditions of alternate front headlight arrangements. Which are legal in what areas, that I don't know. While i prefer Bill's design, I know that one won't pass inspection in new jersey, the lights are just too low. Perhaps drnick's are the right height, but it looks like a single beam, and we'd need high and low beams. The others I'm not real crazy about, so for now, I'm keeping mine stock. PorKen also did his, you can see the project progress here:

That's all I've seen. Hope I'm not offending anyone by putting up pics of their beautiful cars.

None of those really float my boat. Design changes are funny though, sometimes new stuff has to grow on you over time.

I think the last one is as close as we're going to get to a low and high beam conversion that will be street legal here in the U.S.. But I lean towards something that will give me a flush 'aero' install, and have yet to see something like that. Bill's looks good. I suppose the BMW 850 series pop ups have a 'cleaner' look when closed, but something like that would be a real project that is far beyond what the vast majority of us are able to do. At this point, at night around town I just use the fogs, and have hella H4 80/100's in the regular lamps for highway use.
