Spark Plug Wire Question

Does anyone know if anyone sells an aftermarket set of Hi-Po plug wires for the 16V with one dist.? I had three radio supressors fail. I think it's because I am running an MSD and Blaster Coil.

I don't need the radio supressor ends. I have a car stereo but I hardly ever turn it one. And if I ever get inspired to have a stereo I will add a supressor to the stereo.

With all the guys building race cars I would think there is a 8mm set out there someplace that omits the 90 deg. bake lite end.

Guess I need to do a search or something.

TIA

You want wires without resistors in the plugs?

Thats going to have some serious RFI, maybe too much for the brains.

It's a CIS engine so no brain to scramble. (not even mine:D) And I don't listen to the radio.

I found some Nology wires but at over 300.00 a set... I'l just buy the Beru set.

Contact Aurora Electronics in Abbotsford BC (they may have a US outlet) They can make you a nice set of 8mm wires for around $200

Thanks for the lead. I called and spoke with Gary. They don't have a listing for the 16V engine. Only the 32V. Not knowing enough about the 32V to know if the wires would fit, I thanked him and decided to keep looking.

Why don't you get the $75 econo set from 928Intl and reuse/replace your boots as needed?

I have new wires but the three of the RFI ends failed. I have a MDS with a Blaster coil. I think these may have contributed to the demise of the RFI ends.

I figured I would eliminate them if I could. I just ordered a custom set of 8.5mm Magnacor wires.

Here's the link to their site. http://www.magnecor.com/

Here's the data I was looking for from their site.

Magnecor Race Wires are primarily designed and constructed to be used in applications where it is essential to prevent the possibility of ignition wires compromising engine performance. Modern race engines, modified street engines and stock street engines which rely on electronic devices to control the function of either or both the ignition and fuel systems are prone to interference from all other spiral conductor ignition wires sold through performance parts outlets, none of which can provide proper suppression for EMI, particularly if a high-output ignition system is used.

Chance of MSD and other aftermarket parts improving a basically stock 928 motor = 0.0%

Chance of MSD and other aftermarket parts causing a problem = 50%

So glad I learned something from all the money I wasted on my 240z. ;)
I couldn't afford doing on the 928.

Beru ends are also sold individually, like $7 IIRC.
