1984 S will not start

Ok out of the blue my car will not start it will run for a couple of seconds and die. Have spark injectors are firing and I can hear fuel pump running. When I unplug air meter it will run but runs like crap. Could I have a bad air meter? Is there a way to test this? any help would be apreciated.

Ok so like i said it will run with air flow meter unhooked, but does run rich if I let the motor warm up then plug air meter back in it will run normaly. So It seems it will not run from a cold start with air meter hooked up. any suggestions?
