My experience w/928worldwide...
Sorry for this being my first post, I've been lurking here a while.
I've gotten no response for two weeks by these e-mails but he's still selling items here. Just my experience... Notice the dates. This e-mail string starts in March. It's not the money really it's just become a matter of principle. It's just not worth the money you think you may be saving... And I believe it was 48 bucks or something I paid for the fender well cover thing, plus shipping...The auction is so old I can no longer get details.... $18 or so for the first return I sent you (fender well, glove box door, and the first time I resent the light) then 8 or 9 bucks for the light I sent you (second time) a week or so ago. I also need the "side" marker light I paid for/won in an auction. Passenger side marker light that goes on the side of the front of the vehicle, not the running light turn signal. Been busy, should have sent this earlier but the previous e-mails have all this information. Rick,
Why didn't you just pick up the phone and call? The main problem is with a dash core that will work (and not be damaged again). I can't keep shipping you dashboards if none of them work. I would rather just send you the light and glove box door, and refund the dash.... Is that ok for you? The context of your post is like I ignore you, and never offered to help complete the deal.... Remember- this all stems from a FEDEX shipment damage- that wasn't mentioned in your post Rick. Also not mentioned, is that I refunded you the money for the dash, but you want one free anyway...... sheesh. Thanks, Mason Last edited by 928worldwide; 09-09-2009 at 06:10 AM.. |

Rick my suggestion is to pick up the phone, the e mail system works but i think you will have better results with a person to person call, Mason also seems to respond better to a phone call. Just my .02 cents

Nothing beats a good phone call except maybe a face to face, but to be fair if you're going to run an internet business, you need to be on top of your email.

I've had to many phone calls and plenty of the salesman 'everything will be alright' speech. I don't need any feel good talk I'd just like items shipped or money returned and would like to do it through e-mail.
This is just for an FYI, just the facts for other folks to know what they might be getting into. |

I always had good luck calling him. If Mason didn't answer, he called back within a couple hours. That's about as good as it gets with a small operation.

I'm curious. I work for Fedex; what did we do to your package? And did you try contacting the company?

Well as he tells it he had 'a guy' do a bad job packing a number of shipments over the course of a couple days and had numerous complaints. Mine were packaged so poorly that I video taped them being opened. It was obvious from just looking at the packaging that they were going to be damaged. An example was shipping the dash with only a one layer paper type covering, no padding, no protection. The other boxes were so poorly 'packaged' there was no way they were getting to my house undamaged. He tried to send a number of claims in for damaged 'during shipping' all together but reportedly they all got rejected.

928worldwide...
I somehow missed your post. What in the world are you talking about me wanting a new dash for free? Now you're just making stuff up. Why dont you just read the e-mails. Please read the e-mail string and try to find that. Here's the one you send me today showing again you dont read what I send you. Two weeks ago, the last time I've heard from you you stated 'I have all these parts in stock... No worries'. Since this time you have not sent the items, replied to my e-mails, or read the e-mail before you sent this one. I have written this so many times... i kinda feel bad that everyone is ratting on Mason. ive had my issues with him, but it was as simple as one good solid communicating sequence between us and it got fixed. after reading the emails, it sounds like both of you were responding with a question of tell me what you are going to do and tell me what to do.

Mason is great to speak with. I've not said anything to the contrary. It's just that in this example he has shown repeatedly that he does not pay attention to my e-mails or even respond to them in a timely manner. He's great to speak with, this is not intended to be personal, just a factual example of my experience, it's just he has not lived up to what he said in our conversations.
However the response he made about me wanting a dash for free is an interesting accusation and I am now espeically concerned about his business practices. Why I stopped with the phone calls is that I wanted to get this down in simple black and white and he needs to be careful making statements such as that. I've never asked for any such a thing, he obviously isn't paying to close of attention to my e-mails, that accusation is either just a mistake or an outright lie. Future customers need to be aware of that. |

Rick,
Thanks for posting your concerns, I'm sure you knew you were gonna take some flak for this, so I can't imagine it would be worth your time unless you truly have a legit problem. I have never dealt with WW, although I will admit to being a little underwhelmed when I responded to an ad on the NY Craigslist for 928 parts that looked to all the world like a private owner parting out a car locally, and instead I get a long distance call from a major parts supplier in PA. I'm sure this is a subjective thing, but it just seemed a little disingenuous... |

My experience w/928worldwide...
Called them and spoke to Mason about what I needed. Got an invoice later that evening, paid for the part, and received it about a week later. Excellent part. Excellent deal. Excellent vendor.

Rick,
I Shipped you a glove box door and the passenger side signal light- after reviewing the paypal payments and refunds (there were two refunds in March!) I feel that this makes us square. If you disagree- CALL ME so we can discuss it in person.I do not appreciate the public posting of my e-mails, and had it not been for Wayne, the CEO of Pelican, I may have had a slightly different disposition here... There are after all two sides to every story, and I have largely retained mine. Nonetheless... Next time, instead of coming on a forum- just call me, it really does work! As for the fender wall, I see that as shipped, and there is no dashboard due because I refunded you for that already. Take Care and good luck with your car. I'm sorry you didn't get prompt attention and this dragged on for too long- that was my mistake. Sincerely, Mason Fine |

Two sides to every story? I dont know what the other side could be when I posted only facts. I guess you could make things up like when you said I asked for a dash for free... I only posted facts for others to see my experience. I dont know what the statement about Wayne controling your 'disopsition' is supposed to mean to me. Could you please explain.
I dont need any more calls when what you've told me in previous calls was not lived up to. "It really does work"? It didn't for me. In regards to the wheel well that I purchased on e-bay what, 5 or 6 months ago, that was in the 'damaged' shipment from FedEx.... FedEx picked this up as part of the claim you had agianst them. This item is mentioned in the above e-mail on April 22, May 22, June 27, July 08, and Aug 28. Not once in any of your replies did you dispute that I returned this to you, nor that you still owed me the replacement or refund. |

This business sells items on this site. Someone posts facts about their experience so others may make business decisions and you want it removed? To this post, this business has made a ficticious claim about me asking for something for free, a vailed threat regarding the CEO of this site restraining his response to this post. And then the business denies it owes me a replacement/refund after acknowledging this item was returned to him on multiple occasions in the presented e-mail...?
Why would you want this removed? I feel others should know what they are getting into dealing with this business. I have not once mentioned anything personal. Could you explain why this would not benefit others in their business decisions when this vendor sells items on this site? |

I've spent at least $1500 in parts with 928WW. Mason has always provided a good value and a great price. He has gone out of his way to help me with answers to technical questions and general good advice about 928's. I'm sorry you had a problem with your dealings with him but you should really take this off-list and deal with him privately. There has been enough drama on the various forums lately. It was nice however, that you only posted on Pelican and not on every 928 forum known to man, like others have done. It gets old fast. People who like Mason and 928WW will continue to do so. Those that don't like him for whatever reason probably are not going to change their opinion of him. And that's the way it is. I ask that this thread be closed now so another flame war can be averted. Thank you.
Joe B. P.S. I see your last post above. So you've stated your case and made your point. Mason is working out for you and given you a apology stating it was his mistake. And now you are still not satisfied and want to keep the thread opened? For what reason? The only reason I can see is you want more people to jump on the pig pile with you. To me now you've moved from intelligent discourse to plain old vindictiveness. And no one said to remove the thread, just close it so this can end and we can get back to a more technical discussion.
