Need Odometer help!
Hi everyone.
My odometer recently stopped, so I purchased a good used speedo gauge to replace it. ( Already tried replacing just the gear and that didn't fix the problem ) Does anyone know how to change the used part's mileage back to the correct mileage of my original speedo mileage? The two gauges are nearly 23000 miles apart. Thanks for any help given. :) |
You need to take it apart, pretty much the same as the gear change, but maybe your problem is electrical before the odometer?

you have to take the speedo apart, use a fork on a rag to pop off the speedo needle, then it should be obvious how things come apart.
Pay attention to the connections to the speedo when it is refitted to the housing the elex contacts here are usually the failure points if the gear is good. Use a pink eraser to clean the contacts |
