Heater control check out.
So, I got the new steering bearing and ignition electrical switch installed, etc - and now for the next issue.
When i turn the key I can hear the heat/ac controls going through their cycle in the dash area, but the vent control in the top center of the console is in the closed position, and will not open under any position of the heat/ac control - I think it did before i replaced the bearing, but i am not sure and don't see a relationship, I checked all the air lines to the controls while i had the pod pulled to replace the switch. I pulled the vacuum line at the heater valve at the rear of the engine compartment, and it is working fine, holds vacuum and with a vac Gage in line it shows 18 Inches of vacuum at idle, and it is shut hard. This is one of the few areas I have not dived into, so can someone give me some steps to test the control? TIA |

I have seen this before so try this.
Read Wallys HVAC document then you will know where to start looking for your problems. If you follow Wallys info it will take you to the right places to look |
this is a lot easier than trying to re write what Wally has already written
|
will do, thanks
