How much duct tape? ( Chin spoiler question. )

How much duct tape is permitted to aid the stationary positioning of the chin spoiler before it starts affecting the weight distribution between the front and rear axles? At $6 a role for the good stuff (nothing but the best for my 928) I may be rapidly approaching the cost of a new spoiler.

And does anyone have a decent one for a MY 1984?

Must - remember - cannot - straddle - larger - road kill.

Allen

Fiberglass patches are stronger than original, but a nice new spoiler is actually flexible for a few years.

Allen, as suggested, and straight from our RTR-PCA Prez himself, it is time to break down and buy yourself a new one.
It is the least you can do for that fine automobile of yours, doesn't she deserve it???

Yes, she deserves it. I recently won an auction on Ebay for one but when it arrived, I was disappointed that it was in worse shape than mine. (No sticky duct tape residue on it, though). The seller graciously accepted it back with a refund.
I learned something about shipping to about 80 miles from me..........
FedEx ground: $34.
UPS $46.
USPS: $64.

Anyway, I will obtain one when I find a new one at a too-tempting price.
The embarrassment is building......

Best,

Allen

I considered putting a chin spoiler on my standard '80us car, but... since I live off the beaten track, down a potholed gravel road, I concluded it to be a fools errand. I may at some point put a small flexible rubber lip on the bottom though.
The price I pay so my wife can have Horsies.
OBTW- Duct tape will definately win you cred with the red neck contingent.

Didn't John Denver sing a song that went something like this:

Duct tape

On my spoiler

Makes me hapless.......
