tic tock noise on floor at pass door

the component (vdo) on the floor at the edge of the pass seat on door side tics not tic tic tic but tic tock like its the sound way over there for the clock on the console dont know if ive ever heard it before or its getting louder but hear it loud all the time driving

That's the counter for the O2 sensor replacement interval. Should tick as it clicks over.

you can reset the box, look on the outside of the box for a round tube push it in till it clicks then try it

will do thanks i have felt the inner metal cyl real hot outer white plastic with wires loose alot and down lower a black knob screw that never seems to tighten just spins is that just a bolt didnt want to spin it either way too much if its a tune adjust knob like. OR THAT JUST MAY BE THE ROUND TUBE TO PUSH IT IN TILL IT CLICKS , AND WILL DO.

i see it , i did reset button it still tic tocks after i pushed it in and it clicked . when i started right up and left it was same cant remember after shuting off and then return home if it was clicking at all think so though its just that colder and window shut hear it and we got a day warm and had window open cant hear it really.

ITS A BOMB HA HA HA -- SERIOUS ITS OKAY THOUGH OR WHAT?

Its a distance counter to tell you to check the O2 sensor every 50k miles.

I think Porsche made it annoying on purpose, not sure how to silence it or if its ok to remove.

gotcha gotcha gotcha dont seem to hear it didnt go anywhere though just starting --i take it if it counts its prob dont click ova til going or doesnt get annoying until warmer

On my 82 it was unplugged so I suggest you just unplug it. Just remember to plug it back in if you have any type of emissions inspection as the "OXS" warning light will not work.

good suggestion unplugged for now thanks dude you know your listening to many other sounds and symptoms of stuff that that ticking issue having resolve now just makes listening so much more distracting. big thanks again
