coolant leak question
Hi all, im a new 928s4 owner with limited knowledge with these cars. I have a coolant leak, not too severe but its there. Its dripping just above the front of the oil pan almost dead center, right under the pulley. Im assuming its the waterpump? Hows my assumption? lol
Thanks to mrmerlin for addressing my last post regarding the calipers,t.i.a for those who reply |

Check for other potential spots like the coolant bridge, but yeah the water pump sounds likely it usually has a weep hole so its easy to see the seal is failing.

if you have a leak thats centered on the oilpan then that indicates a leaking waterpump . BUT first you should tighten all the clamps on the front of the engine sometimes one of these can also leak and give the same indication.
To see the weep hole on the pump requires at least the DS timing cover to come off then and inspection mirror inserted near the underside of the waterpump pulley to see the hole
