1983 928S fuel pump

Hi guys, I was looking for a little feedback. I bought the car a few months ago and there has been a few little issues but the one I can't figure out is when I start the car everything is fine and then maybe ten, fifteen minutes later sometimes longer when I come to a stop or am off throttle the engine rpm drops and rises over and over and if I give it just a little gas it runs perfect I changed the filter first and checked the fuel pressure and its good but that doesn't mean that it's not losing pressure I just don't have a gauge inside the car. I have changed the O2 sensor as well but I suspect the fuel pump. I was thinking maybe I have overlooked something so before I buy the pump I thought I might get some expert advice here. Thanks for any input.

Fuel pumps don't have idle issues.

Is it a US 83?

I suspect;

switches on the throttle for idle and wot are not working or adjusted correctly.
vacuum leaks or incorrect routing.
components failed in vacuum system.
