Seat Cover
Misty,
I have only removed the lower seat cover for a spring repair. Had no trouble with the cover. |

I just completed removing the seat covers and foam from all my seats to replace all the electric motors. Yes, they can be safely removed and reinstalled. I separated the seat back from the cushions to make it easier. It could be done without separating but might be more difficult. The front seat lower frames are basically two components. 1 is the frame that the cushion and seat cover are attached. The second is the track and risers. These must be separated to remove the cover safely. Once separated you have access to safely bend all the integrated metal darts to pull the leather off them. Then you need a strong hand to remove all the retaining hog rings. Pay close attention to there location for reinstalling. The seat back has a similar set up, integrated darts at the bottom and the rest hog ringed.
You need lots of Patience. |
