928 World Wide Store credit for sale.

I have a $1000 store credit with 928WW that I can not cash out. I need the money more than the used parts that I wont be needing for a long time. If there is anyone who buys regularly from Mason, let me know. I want $800 in exchange to the $1000 store credit.

Mason if you know anyone your self, let me know. Again I need the money more than the store credit.

If this advertisement can not be here, please delete.

Thanks

How do you get store credit from him? I can't get him to answer emails or ebay messages.

No personal experience, however from what I've read good luck on this one! Seems there is little to no love for 928WW.

I bought a short block that was not good, I returned it for a replacement. However, no good replacement was found and I had to go buy one from someone else. And the beloved 928WW store policy says that everything is warrantied except engines and transmissions. So I cant get the refund and can only have store credit.
I need the money, Mason will not give me a refund but agrees to sell my store credit. So if any one buys regularly from him, please let me know. I truly need the cash right now, he finished his move and is back on selling parts.

Thanks

Why not use the credit then sell the parts. It might be easier to get money that way.

I agree. Don't purchase anything that is large or bulky, buy the computers, chips or other items that are expensive but small in size and bulk. then put them in the classifieds or e-bay and try and recover at least some of your money. I don't know anyone on this board or RL that buys from Mason regularly. Be smart and get your full $1000 worth of small but expensive items. Good luck. I don't think you should be penalized because the parts your purchased was defective.

I think there is a big difference between a warranty...and being DOA...to me a "warranty" is that it breaks down in the future with a time period limit..but is good when shipped out...not when it arrives at your door!!...Mason Pay up!!....give the man his money back!!...you sold him crap.

Okay, I'm getting parts, Some interior pieces that I would need, So the credit is not for sale anymore. If I have anything left from the credit, I will take the advise and buy computers. I don't want to beat the subject on the refund to death anymore, I will just get S4 parts.

Thanks guys

Just not true. It was good, just not top shelf.... It would have worked, but he wanted as perfect as he could get. I don't blame him... it's just how it went.

Then give him his money back and resell the "not top shelf" engine to someone else. That is how a good, customer oriented business does business.

Mason,
That is a good answer. It appears that he is content with using his credit towards purchasing items that are easy to unload / sell. If all goes well, as long as namasgt is content, then problem solved and world moves forward. I still would not hesitate to purchase from 928WW

Mason...please dont get me wrong...i dont hate you or like you...i hav'nt dealt with you before.....but, if i was running this business...its a too small a world with 928 's...to piss someone off...word gets around a whole lot faster, when someone is done wrong, than when someone is done right...if "namasgt' is happy with the outcome...then i wont say anymore about it..and i hope all are happy.....John

Mason knows very well what I want.
I just want to put this issue at rest and settle for the store credit, he said I can have any 928 part I want. The argument went too far in the other forum. I just want it to end, No more arguments.

Thanks

It's Fine, he'll get some items and now he doesn't feel like he was mistreated. I want to help people- that's a huge part of our mission here....I know it seems otherwise sometimes, but it's the lost in translation factor. I sincerely care about all of the 928 owners- even the ones who despise me.

The drama queens hype it up because we're controversial...and they can't understand why anyone would see benefit from that stance; they would NEVER act that way. You have to read the book sometimes, the cover doesn't show the whole story. Everyone knows who we are right? not too shabby.... No matter what someone says in public, and this plays out OVER and OVER.... when they're crunched up and hurting, the phone rings and guess who's calling?

I've had people demand I change the name 928ww because it resembles a different company.

They've said we don't know ***** about the 928.

They've said we wouldn't make it past 2009.

They say a lot - but I realize that's all it is- just talk. This situation was nothing, we've been robbed, defrauded, hacked, slammed, spammed, and jammed! We've broken every tool there is, been cut , burned, hyper extended, mentally and verbally abused, lied to , cheated, misled, and one time, mistaken for a gang of pimps and ho's.... lol j/k

Ali just wants to recover, understandable. I stick to my guns as always, and it's business as usual. The hype and negative chatter all serve to put fear and doubt in peoples minds about 928ww... But make no mistake, it encourages me to be more aggressive. To put even more no reserve blast out 1000 items at a time sale events like the one that wrapped up last night.... At this stupid low price, high volume place I'm in, there are sometimes issues with quality. Service quality, parts quality....It's not negligence like some would suggest. It's just the way it is. I make 100 new customers, a few aren't happy. 3% or 4% of them. That's why our ebay profile has landed with a thud at 97.5%. I want to emphasize how harmful our last move was. It was a nightmare.... I am so glad to be settled in and back on track. There is no bad news coming from 928ww; only good. But I digress, I can abandon that low cost high volume model, and put up much better listings, with tested parts, better pics, more details etc etc. BUT; say goodbye to the smokin deals. They'll vanish. IS THIS THE OUTCOME SO MANY ARE PUSHING FOR? Has anyone noticed the HUGE drop in pricing from the other used 928 dealers??

Merlin is so mad at me he blocked me on the new forum. That's not good. Merlin is always pushing me to make things better for all of you... and now he's given up.
I hope you change your mind Merlin, your energy is not lost on me. I heard everything you ever said to me... it doesn't mean I'm going to become 928superman in crunchy granola form overnight.... But I respectfully must tell you, working on cars for enthusiasts is different from ripping them to bits and operating below the cost radar. The cost radar has malfunctioned and become radiation poisoning.... like the a-bomb. You don't make it, you're vaporized. If I let every Ali situation be managed by the customer, we dis-a-ppear. Then you know what happens? The price on Tail lights and fuel tanks starts to climb, instead of what it's doing now- Know what I'm saying??
After all the chatter in our small space here, the name calling, the devious pokes and spoof attitudes, the facts remain: I'm a hobbyist, car fanatic, and loyal servant to this community.... an evolution from driveway tinkerer pissing off the neighbors to major operator with huge liabilities.

NOBODY wants this job- they just think they do when they're hangin around the water cooler talking about the boring meeting they just slept through with their eyes open. Trust me, I've picked up the scattered mess from yards across America where people gave it a shot and totally bailed after convincing themselves they did alright.

My desire to see all of you enjoy your cars on a cheaper dime only gets stronger every time these little chats happen. I believe we have the power to lower the cost of ownership through my selfless infatuation with the car. THIS IS WHY I STARTED DOING THIS IN THE FIRST PLACE. I HATED paying huge money for old beat up 25 year old stuff, and with a little persuasion from someone most of you know and love- I tried it on.

It's a magnet to my soul.... and I really don't care about anything else, even the money- believe me. Having a baby changes that by necessity, and like it or not, I have to act the part....And I will. I will bring the prices up, and the quality will follow. You asked for it for so long, I can't ignore you anymore.

SO- I promise to do the best job I can to operate smoothly, with good items, and happy customers- at the best prices on this planet. Say hello to the new, friendlier 928ww.... You can thank Ali and Merlin. Better or worse... it is what it is.

Good Night!

FWIW, I am not mad , disappointed yes.

I wont be offering any more suggestions on how you should treat your customers.
This doesnt mean I dont like you, on the contrary I still think that your an OK guy,
I was hoping to see more from you thats all.

The reason for the block was to stop the bickering on whos right, right now.
So I decided to take you out of the confrontation.
I was trying to close that thread earlier and found out that I am not able to.

I hope that you will do better in the future so we can all benefit from your participation in our quest to have a great car.

Stan
