Hey Normy, The 8th post down is a video on how to install a cap.
I agree with Alan in AZ now that you explained it more. I'm a mechanic and I would bet that it is a bad ground. Check the easy one at the right side of the engine, underneath.
For some reason that is the most common problem with this type of electrical issue.

My kid once install 2 batteries in his car to stop the stereo from causing the flux

Actually in this case if its a ground issue - I'd mostly suspect the console or CE panel grounds since the issue seems pretty localized to the power outlet.
