interior/exterior temp sensor

Hi Guys

I was wondering, if one of those sensors is not working correctly, will it affect the temperature control slider that control the air temperature that is coming out of the vents?

How can I check the interior/exterior temp sensors to verify that the are working correctly?

Thanks for the help!

to check the sensors usually the outside one will fail at its connection point due to corrosion but connect an OHM meter and blow on the sensor you should see a change as the temp warms, if you dont get any than the sensor is bad , the inside sensor usually doesnt go bad so check the outside sensor first

Thanks but is it true that if the outside/inside sensor is faulty then I am not able to control the air temperature (step motor) inside the car using the temperature control slider?

IIRC, you will only get full hot or full cold out of your system regardless of where you put the slide control.
