Cam housing bolts
Getting ready to reassemble passenger side cam housing and reinstall on car and I realized that I'm not sure which length bolts go where on the rear housing cover. There are 3 bolts, one is short, the other two are slightly longer. IIRC one bolt goes through the clip on the wiring harness, and the other through the bracket for the CO test port. I am getting rid of the test port because it rusted and broke. So where does the short bolt go? Do I need to get another shorter bolt for where the test port bracket was?

fit the short bolt through the cover and see how many threads are visible thats how long the other bolt bolt should be thats not going to hold the rusted bracket. If your using cork gaskets then dont overtighten them if you got the newer style silicone gaskets same goes dont over tighten the bolts

Will do, thanks Mrmerlin. I have the cork gaskets; should I use any ultra-grey sealer, or will the red spray-tack work? Or nothing at all?

if you have some Hondabond a little dab on each surface wouldnt hurt dont go overboard on the sealer though as there are oil drain holes adjacent to the lower screw holes, wouldnt want to plug them
