I got the wrong part... Anyone trade?

I bought a used (good condition) Altinator for my 84 but received one for an 86. Anyone able to trade? Or i'll sell it i guess. $65 shipped from 72762.
Im getting sick of carrying jumper cables everyplace i go.

jumping off the battery is a good way to kill and alternator and or the engine computer if the battery is low charge it up, dont jump the car as this will lead to the 2 things i just said, fix the alternator charge the battery.
if you know it has a drain disconnect the battery while its sitting

Thanks Sean I fixed it , I should have read the question............ RTFQ

I dont need the alternator.
However a few things you should know.
Jumping off the battery is a good way to kill an alternator and or the engine computer.
The WSM outlines how damage can be done by doing this.

If the battery is low charge it up.
Preferably with a 6 amp charger and the battery disconnected.

Dont jump the car, fix the alternator and charge the battery.

You could perform the Delco conversion on the 84.

Can be economical if there is competition across your local parts supply stores.
