steering leaks
HI there, I live in the prescott area and own '83 928 and it looks like small leak in mine also. not sure as not had time to look but seems from the spots on the floor that it could be the rack boots, Just clean the rack area really well and do like somone else said here go lock to lock to see if you can track down the leaks. try tightening the hose clamps from the resiviour. The hoses get soft over time and do leak. I found the same thing on my 924 and 944. did the trick. Are your sure it's steering fluid or, engine oil.

wipe up the drips with a white rag if the oil is red then its PS fluid if its brown then its engine oil , if the PS hoses are old at the reservoir they should be replaced with new parts,
to check the rack, jack the car up take a small screwdriver and pry down the inner rack boot have a pan ready to catch any oil , its OK if there is a small amount of oil if so the amount of leakage should be monitored
