Cheap Chinese Snakescope

Well, took about three weeks to get here but I got a Cheap Chinese Snakescope to use for work and too bad if it just happens to come in handy for Shark wrenching. $54.00 delivered via slow boat from China. USB driven and loads pics straight to my laptop.

Example:

I think it is worth the price.

When I get time I'm popping a few spark plugs and looking in. I'll post them for a sample of the quality I get.

I bought something similar at Home Depot last year for $99, mine has a 3 inch screen built onto the control head.

The problem is....the head of the camera is too big to fit down the spark plug hole. Oh well, it comes in handy around the house.

Bummer, it's the same size as the spark plug threads so wont go into piston chamber.

Maybe you could snake it down on the intake side and peek thru and open valve?

My piston heads looked like that when I bought mine back in April. I've been running Gumout Regane (and others) injector cleaner in every tank since I bought it, and my piston heads are now shiny clean.

Can you say "portable endoscope"...many uses!

Probably much less expensive than the doctors...

Yes, it's definitely going to get lots of injector cleaner, oil treatment, etc. when I get it back on the road (weeks away is the plan). I bought the car in 2002 to fix up because cosmetically it's in great shape and completely original. The engine runs strong, but was leaking oil everywhere. I've slowly been bringing it back. It's spent the last 7+ years mostly in storage.
