Fuel tank repair?

I have a small crack in my fuel tank and fuel has begun to seep through. Has anyone successfully repaired one of our plastic fuel tanks? Any thoughts? I will probably just find another one but figure I could try something in the mean time. If anyone close to Denver has a spare tank they want to sell let me know.

Tank Leak Repair

Dave,
I had a very small leak in my tank near the bottom and close to the support strap. I suspect it was caused from the stress and flexing near the support.
I used a product called "Seal-All", which is available at any hardware, home store or auto supply. It is very inexpensive and comes in a tube about half the size of tooth paste.
The directions said it could be applied while the tank was in the car, but I removed mine. The stuff is not effected by gas or oil, remains flexible, and multiple coats can be applied. I applied one coat, then a second with some fiberglass mesh to re-enforce the area.
I had the repaired tank in the car for about six months without any problem, then a friend gave me another tank. I have since installed the second tank.
While looking for repair materials I did see that there are several two part epoxy products also available on line.

I read a post somewhere about making sure you tightened the strap back up why the sealant method was drying to make sure it dries under the tension and forces it will be exposed to normally. Otherwise it won't work. Gunar

Also there is a product made by permatex called "permatex ultimate grey" that is highly gas resistant it is made to seal 2 stroke engine cases and other gas exposed sealing surfaces. I dont exactly know the adhesion level but because it's highly gas resistant it may be a god choice. They sell it at just about any auto parts place.
