I have one from an 83. It probably works. Its available for reimbursement of shipping to an enthusiast who really needs it. Not sure if its the same number of the subject of the thread, though. It changed for 84 IIRC, so I can't use it. I think our poster is trying to value one for sale on the market, though.

usually the box doesnt fail
its a bulb or crossed or melted wire on the back of the CE panel, or a damaged I button on the console

It controls the warning light system on the pod and console ( I ) light.
