Cat converter
How hard is it to bypass/remove the cat. converter? Does it result in better sound or HP?

From what I hear, you can gain some HP from the replacement, however, the newer cats sold today are much freer than those used 15 years ago, so you might get the same gains just by replacing your original cat...
