Cool, and like Pete said, swap all your CIS stuff over and it will work. Ask me how I know.
...and if you got a few hours, follow my restoring thread here: http://porsche928forums.com/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=4

Great rebuildd there
a ton of great work, I'm also doing a total restoration on my 928, I'm restoring the whole interior before I'm going to do the mechanical bits (almost everything). By the way, what is the name / number of the color you used on your 928??the engine where mounted with a automatic trans, rebuild it to man trans.. It had just 120km total, and where drained of coolant and had a new engine oil before he stored it.. Did a compression test with a drill turning the engine and it where all goood.. He did not wash it before i looked at it. He explained that then you could see where it have some pore oil sealant( cam seal front ) so i am going to change that, and the oil pan sealant... Have bought me some parts, New engine 4,7s and parts( timing belt, gasket, sim rings, water pump, rollers, and so on) new clutch and release bearing, new master syl.
New vacuum actuator to the central Lock and lines, new rods to the doors, new mirrors with housing, new air guides to the engine, new seat covers, and a lot of bits and things that where missing to the interior, i am doing a total restoration to the car now, and doing all the things that u never see. ![]() . Why do i do that? because it is just great how it is built, and i am just impressed that it is over 30 years old car, it have solutions you would find in cars late in the 90s I wil never get my money back for it, but i do not mind it is just so funny to work on.. In mind of that i where a Mercedes mechanic for 10 years + and where really tierd of doing that, it just brought back the love for the trade he he. But that in mind it is just so different to work on that it easily to do it wrong also, so great this forum is..... pics are just around the corner.. |
