Two vacuum lines on the Distributor......
I have an 1980 Porsche 928S euro. One of my two vacuum lines from the vacuum advance ( I believe that's what the circular metal piece is called on the outside of the distributor ) is unhooked.
Does anyone know where both of these lines should hook up to? And would you happen to have a picture on it?? Thanks for your help ![]()

Here are some diagrams that may help.

Its interesting, it looks like that diagram shows only one vacuum line coming from the distributor. Mine definitely has two ports. I wonder if mine being a Euro has anything to do with having two?

Yeah, sorry I missed you saying two lines. I do know there are some models that have 2 lines, but don't have a diagram for it. Also, my 81 Euro has only a single vac line. I'm pretty sure I heard of US models also having the 2 vac lines. Let me see if I can dig out more diagrams.

Does your '81 Euro have two ports on the vacuum advance, though? And one simply isn't used? Maybe one of my two ports isn't used, but it seems weird that there would be two of them if they are only gonna use one. Thanks for checking on this.

One for advance, one for retard. They did away with the retard on subsequent years.
